Description

Spurred by JS the party reached the territories under rebel control in forced marches and without more ado. "We must immediately tell Rasharr people what we found in the sacred texts!" Yahrr cried. "For too many centuries we have been blind to the truth and the clergy has been silent through ignorance or negligence." The man burned with a reformer's flame and JS could not help but be happy: a religious reform was exactly what he wanted in order to give a shock to GHOUL ideology. "We'll organize pirate broadcasts and hack into the most important sites, but what assures us that the people will listen?" JS asked. "Every Rasharr family has its Book of Songs, where all Rasharr traditions are written, the sagas and testimonies of the Ten Wise Men. It's the Matriarch's Government's gift for each new Rasharr family at the time of the wedding. So everyone can look for the songs we point at and see that we say the truth. We'll tell them the readings recommended by the clergy efface the truth of the complex religious traditions of our people muting the points they don't like. We'll stimulate the people to read for themselves the sacred texts in an integral manner." When JS left Rasharr the theological controversy was raging on throughout the Rasharr empire increasing the rebels' ranks. Meanwhile, Lee was working hard to find an answer to Eve's problem, he knew that when the attack started, he would no longer have time. The sadness in Eve's eyes had struck a sympathetic chord in his soul and he really wanted to be of help, but every time the results of his experiments baffled him. "There's nothing wrong with Eve, nothing physiological, at least." Lee mumbled. "Maybe I'm doing it all wrong. JS might be the problem, with the life he lived and the substances he came in contact with. Let's start from this new perspective!" and threw himself headlong into the work. At the end what he discovered left him breathless and uneasy: "It's impossible, there must be something wrong." So Lee started another series of tests, using the samples he had collected before JS joined with Vickie and forced his way again through the BAR lab. He sequenced JS's DNA, his complete genome. "Ye gods!" Lee exclaimed: the results of some transposons were nothing short of staggering. "These results are impossible!" he thought. "I must send these tests as anonymous results to dr. Prubha, he can tell me something." Following the protocols JS had imposed for each communication, Lee sent the results and a couple of samples to the eminent scientist. At the council of war Maurr reported: "Our army is strengthening. Kahrr is a born recruiter and his suggestion is working: young people from the industrial belt's small colonies are joining our army." "Military and war are powerful ways to make a career if you stay alive." JS quipped. "Exactly! The fact that we don't discriminate either according to the moiety or to the family has a strong appeal." Kahrr confirmed. "A lot of girls have enrolled, far more than I would have thought." Lady Behrr added. "Yahrr's re-reading of the sacred texts has literally skyrocket the number of those who join." Xahrr confirmed. "Really to win Yahrr over to our side has been a decisive move, Sea." "Now we're ready." JS stated. At that moment Farnese, the president of the EA, called. "Sea, the Bloody Dawn is attacking the planet Elice, Ursa Major. Our ships can't face the Bloody Dawn, but we cannot lose the Helium-3 deposits in Elice's moon. Will you send your fleet over there?" "No, I won't. Tell the colonists to hold on, soon the problem will resolve itself." "Bastard!" Farnese cried. "Excuse me Mr. President. Sea, are you going to attack? When? Where?" GOD asked. "We're starting the attack on Rasharr mainland." JS said and cut. Popped out of the hyperspace JS's fleet headed at full speed towards Rasharr and its two moons. --- Thanks!
