Description
When Andrea visit her friend Karl Kofner in his villa in Dusseldorf Germany, she saw two pictures hanging on the wall. One of an woman and one of a younger girl. She knew Karl lost his family after a deadly carcrash back in 1983, so she didn't ask anything.
Months later, when Andrea visit Sacha for some business matter, she spots a picture standing on a cabinet, which she saw before for sure. But she cannot remember where.
When she asked Sacha who the girl in the picture is, Sacha tells her that it is her mother at the age of 17. "Why do you ask that?"
"Well, I think I saw that picture before some time ago. But if it is your mother I must be wrong. What was her name?"
"She was called Gerda Mesman, she was of German origin."
Now Andrea knows, but she cannot be sure and the names don't match. She tells Sacha to take the picture with her and follow her to Dusseldorf to Kofner, who is involved in the businessmatter also.
There Andrea sees she was right. She takes the bag with the picture with her and ask Karl to follow her. At the pictures in the corner, she askes him quitly who the girl in the picture is.
"That was my daughter Gerda."
Now Andrea calls Sacha to join them and when Sacha sees the picture on the wall she asked Andrea: "Why did you hang the picture of my mother here?"
"That I did not Sacha, look, this is your picture and she opens her bag and takes out the other picture."
"Your mother?"
"Your daughter?"
Gerda was not killed in the carcrash, but run away from home that same day and married to a guy named Mesman and divorced him soon, after a year or so, she married again with Sacha's dad Rudy Gloms and uses her old name Mesman as her maidenname.
Karl knew she was once married to Mesman but he could not find her. He was sure, today he found his lost daughter and now his beautiful granddaughter Sacha Gloms. It was a pity that Gerda had died 3 years ago.
The whole story is an important part of my latest roman.

Sounds like it involves an intricate plot. I like your image here. If I had a suggestion it would be to soften the shadows a little. When will your book be available?

Yes I agree about the shadows. I used 2 spotlights. Not a good idea afterall. The book will never be available, because I print only one copy for my own bookshelf. Sorry Fitz, besides, it is written in Dutch.
