ZOOM IN for a better look ----------- "I stopped cold, with my weapon deployed. She did exactly the same. It was obvious that neither of us expected to run face to face into the other in this deep underground dark corridor. We stood staring at each other for what seemed like an eternity. Fear, curiosity, fight or flight, hell even flirtation seemed to run through my mind. I wondered what she would do if I smiled at her. I thought better of it, Showing ones teeth down here could get you cut in half by that plasma weapon she held. So instead, I took a slow step back. She did the same. I then took another step back and so did she. So ended the encounter with the hybrid. As I backed off, she too stepped back into the darkness of the underground corridor. It was obvious now that I would have to find another way to reach the pod where Ramirez was jammed up by the "Golds" Better to spend the magazines I carried on them than on this strange hybrid that seemed more curious than hostile.. ----------- Greetings all, I hope you enjoy "HYBRID." Splendid "hybrid", superb pose and POV, the decor and the green light give the mood ! Your moody story is also intriguing, excellent work for the both, Dag !
