ryamka who made you the "freedom of speech" police, eh? Who exactly did this poster insult? He may have hit it right on the head as our President Bush put it just two days ago: ( loosely quoted ) "The US will not allow ANY nation to gain equal armament advantage." Thats rather scary as that meant our "allies" to. Maybe if you would quit posting mindless drivel you could find some time to render and post something yourself!

Pro terroist, anti-American drivel. However because of America you are free to express your views, however mis-guided. We have bailed Europe out of two wars and have always been there to help in time of need. Now we need help and all they can do is attack our policy. Europeans, by the way, have several hundred years of colonialism under their belts and have no room to talk. Gee, I hope my grammer and spelling are correct.

Judging from the reaction of some others here, the picture must be good. It shows the impression many of us have, when looking at the USA and their behaviour. Sure, you helped Europe in two wars, especially the USA helped Germany a lot in getting rid of Hitler. But that doesn't allow the USA to do, what they are doing at the moment. The european states are in no way US-Vassals. And the USA still needs to learn this.

Whoa! I post a render of a bear on a motorcycle and i get 4 comments in 4 months, i post an octopus on a globe and get 7 comments in 12 hours! Grammatical errors aside, a lot of you seem to think i "OWE" america for my right to free speech. I am not an american citizen, nor do i live in America (WORLD wide web). I feel the same loyalty to them as i would to britain or germany (which is close to none) That being said, you should also remember that there is a difference between how a state treats its own citizens and its foreign policy. Sorry to rant, the point is that just because YOU have a decent life it does not mean that YOUR government is justified in trampling around the globe devastating the lives of entire populations to promote american interests. Besides, if the texture on the octopus was an american flag, or the cresant moon of islam, or if it was wearing a turbin, would you think it offensive then? and that's all i'll say on that :)

Yeah right. All of you need to get a life. When your butts are getting stomped and your citizens start getting killed because people envy you're way of life who do you call? It has nothing to do with religion or foreign policy (Read the Koran and you'll start to understand). Not the U.N. What are they gonna do? Pass another impotent resolution backed up with more resolutions. No... you call the biggest baddest meanest mother in the valley. The U.S.A. Do you honestly believe Desert Storm would have worked without the U.S.? I think not. Do you think that you're countries are immune to terrorism? This is just the beginning. It will happen to you all. Then you'll be screaming for action... See ya after the screams. Oh and P.S. I do not care If my English is not perfect.

But see, THAT is the point. You posted a "propaganda" image, and you expected to get a response, per your quote under the picture. Now that you are getting a response, you are upset with what you are getting. Boo hoo. And yes, if the octopus was covered with the Star of David, the Cross, the Crecent Moon, an inverted pentagram, the flag of Switzerland, or even the colors/logo of your favorite football/soccer/baseball/cricket/et al team, you should expect to "offend" at least on person. That is the nature of the beast. Deal with it. My original message made no specific comment on the image itself, other than the quality of the image. Seems to be that you are the one reading way too much into something, and are the one with the bias. I just said that the art and grammar sucked. - Ray

We should'nt forget: Life ( and politics is a part of life) is not black or white, it gives many, many gradations between those two counterparts.

Fair enough ray. Although im not upset with the response at all, bringing out different points of view, no matter how popular in a rational debate is something ultimately good for democracy. You can't say your right until you've proven it, debate is a way to achieve this. thanks for the comments

the day the US invades Mexico you might just have a point but the last time I checked the US has no interest in making Iraq the 51st state. So I guess the rule is that the US has to wait till some maniac drops nerve gas or a nuck in New York City before they are allowed to act.

Dear chimera46, don't let jingoists and warmongers get you down. Some folk think Sep. 11th gives the US license to behave badly... tragic really.

This should make one think and ask some important questions. And Chimera, I agree with you, but I don't think the differing points of view have been making their way to the forefront lately in the U.S. God forbid anyone even think of questioning the President's policies.

I think we can all agree Bush/King "W" needs a new speech writer. Its at least we can deserve for not getting elected. Good editorial

I liked the render. I'm a citizen of the US and I voted for Bush twice. No country owes us anything. We fought the two world wars because they needed to be fought, just as France fought England during the our revolution, because it was in our best interest. As for behaving badly, there are 150+ nations on Earth and we are in two?, but if you think this is 'badly' just ask Japan what happens to those who sneak attack the US. Please remember though, we will always come to the aid of those in need, always have, always will.

The US is not the United States because we blindly followed our leaders in whatever they chose. If this was the case, we would still be a part of Britain. This is what has made, and still makes this country great. We doubt our leaders, we doubt ourselves, we doubt our motives, our morals, our everything. In this brutal self-examination we find that we purge ourselves of anything which is truly dangerous, at the cost of exposing every other flaw we have to the world. This is the reason that in spite of all the apparent problems with this country, it's easily one of the best places in the world to live.

This is your BEST image I have seen so far! And the responses prove it! Atleast there appears to be a good cross section of opinion!
