due to higher compression the image preview will look darker, zoom for clarity

Noise is usually due to 1 of 2 reasons....there are some Formulas that are just inherently noisy( you'll learn which ones just by using the program) or Render settings. The Render settings for Stepwith Limiter and Ray Step Multiplier being the most critical ones concerning both Noise and Render quality. The lower the RSM and SWL the more noise reduction and Higher the quality of the Render, the lower these settings also the longer the Render time(Typically I run a RSM of .05 to .025 and SWL .1 to .05) . There is a Help Thread in the Fractals Forum here for MB3D also you can ask any questions there MB3D help thread http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2845942 There are links to some Tuts by Hal Tenny and others at DA in the Forum also but I'd have to do some searching to find them again, also on the Forum Main page there is some tuts listed, a couple are for MB3D.
