Description

Special Notes: (for those that follow my short stories) As you know, Gunslinger Cadet, Book One, 1st Draft is finished. I won't be posting any more of that draft. But there will be some stories inserted into the draft. Occasionally, you will see a link on my posts, that means I updated the public draft. It might just be corrected/polished existing stories, or it might be I added a new story. I won't announce it when I do, the link will be at the bottom of whatever the latest thing I post is. It's there if you want it. I will be starting the next draft soon, maybe, and work on both of them at the same time. Of course the new story will be posted. Just letting you know how to find updates to the Gunslinger Cadet, Book One, when and if you want to see how it's going. Thanks to everyone for their support, and reading, and comments. I really do often find little things in the comments that lead to big stories. P.S. Someone wanted an update on the Print Shop. Well, I fixed two of the broken machines, have a part ordered for the big treadle and should get that working soon. I've built a chase and printed a wedding invitation sample and have my first customer. I've identified most, but not all of the strange and forgotten machines of this lost art of the ancient letterpress. The first students on a field trip came through. And the very first group I clocked one in the head with the Devil's Tail on the Washington Hand Press (he actually clocked himself by letting go). Now I keep students on a very narrow path through the shop. I also crushed five letters - woops - gotta remember to move the clips on the frisket when I change paper size. "Gunslinger Cadet"

Ahh, the sweet learning curve! Lol about the clonking on the heads! The sometimes bitter end of OJT! Cute idea about using the image above to talk about links! Most inventive and original!

Love the pic .. love the patterns of the fence and the shadow .. So the print shop is coming along nicely, and you may actually be making some money to continue fixing and moving toward a totally functional little old print shop! Pretty cool that you've already had a student group come through! And .. I gotta say, you're starting to sound like a printer!
