Description
Right near where I stop to fill the car's tank with gas .. there's a railroad track hidden by all that overgrowth .. and the exit sign is the way out from the gas pumps, which are associated with a store, so not really a gas station.
Seemed like a neat picture back then in November. Now I kind of like the exit sign better .. like, exit to the southern reaches of Florida ..
Winter continues, snow on and off, cold continues, and I'm looking wistfully at last summer's pictures.
Hope you all are warm and safe.
Thanks for the "look-sees" and comments on the previous post.

Wish I could say that I was warm and toasty (only under the blankets) but we are now getting a little taste of what is going on with the East Coast Wonderful capture Rita

PS: The Christmas Tree finally came down two days ago (:

I got a bit of a sunburn today, not bad, just a little red, gotta stay out of the sun. Yep, our one month of winter is over. Summers back.

Rita, this really is a cool photo and I very much enjoyed your thoughts behind it. Everyone knows Christmas trees are meant to be left up until after the Super Bowl ;)
three_grrr
Around here, no one knows Christmas trees are supposed to stay up until after the Super Bowl. I'm glad there's someone in the world that understands that, giggles.

the trees are coming.... the trees are coming - lol.... looks like trees are coming and taking out the powerlines - you better watch for them the next time you fill up - lol

So very pretty just to look at! A lovely photo, but I suppose it is easy to get fed up with that weather. My Christmas was very good, with food and presents and family, but completely decoration and tree FREE! I have become so fed up with plastic and tackiness that I don't do it any more.

like many other photographs of this style, it is a perpetual wonder to admire the landscape under the snow, but after the snow melt, the remaining traces are not always rosy. I wish you cozy warmth and security ... protected colds or flu!

Yikes that does look cold. Due for some more snow here today in NYC. But soon it will be spring and all will be. Love this image Rita

Very funny. I can imagine you're tired of it by now, but I was excited to wake up to a dusting of snow this morning. The pic reminds me of a morosely funny one I took a million years ago. It was the sad sight of a baby's grave, lightly strewn with litter. The trash amounted to an empty Baby Magic lotion bottle. Like a failed experiment.
three_grrr
yeah, really dark dark dark humor .. failed Baby Magic.

Great capture Rita, I do hope you are getting much better and keeping warm, you are having a lot of snow over there aren't you. It is gale force winds here that bite through to the bone and rain rain rain, a lot of the UK is flooded!! Sorry for my lack of comments lately, I will come back again soon, take care, hugs Jane xx

Well Rita, I think I may have some images to share after our next storm. We are having a real beauty tomorrow. I think we are going into an ice age. Super capture, as always!!!!!

Wonderful capture and motif, Rita. Seems like the trees are damaging the powerlines? Beautiful shot.
