Description

Thank you for your visit. I'll appreciate any comment or suggestion. Better view with zoom in. The present-day town of Aquino is the natural heir to the Roman Aquinum born before the fourth century BC and whose history through the centuries has never been interrupted, giving rise then to the city of the Counts of Aquino who had a great importance in the Middle Ages and was a bishopric since the fifth century of the Christian era. This lion head is tucked away in a corner of the Roman wall. Note the small snails that have chosen as home.
