very cool photo of this beauty you got to remember how much the hourly wage was back then - in the US it was $0.25/hour (25 cents/hour) equivalent of $4.07/hour today furthermore from the Institute of Public Affairs has this to say: 1. Statistics of the Ministry of Labour in Great Britain (reported in the Australian press) show that the average weekly wage for men, at the end of April this year, stood at £6/19/11. This figure, which includes overtime, amounted to an increase of £1 on the average level at October, 1946. an American, if he no other bills or other expenses would have to work 2360 hours - 295 days - but with all other expenses look at about 3 years...

I don't care what it cost back in the day or today that's a very cool sky blue pick-Up Andrew and you took a mighty fine photo of it, I'd buy it if it looked like this back in the day of course. (Rated-5). Stan

Well, my friend, you hit the nail right on the head this time! This is exactly what I bought many years ago from one of my uncles. He eventually bought it back. I believe I posted a shot of it earlier but I will see if I can dig up another one! Great photo, and a really nice truck!
