Description

"Fire Power 3.0" *Remember, It is the Soldier, not the reporter Who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the Soldier, not the poet, Who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the Soldier Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, And Whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the flag. Remember, Our men and women currently serving Our country and never forget those who Gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Yes they did. And so often our country forgets that and treats our veterans very poorly.

Hey Wolf, Yes it's so very true...I did my service to the country in the Air Force from 83 to 87, but it was peace time then so no worries about my life being in any danger...but to say this, and only people who have done the deed, went to Basic Training, tech school, and then went to the base that was CHOSEN for them, even though we had three choices, most of the time you don't get what you want AT ALL, and That, is what I didn't appreciate about our Military and the A**holes they use to recruit...just be straight with people and don't lie to them...the false promises and paperwork, oh god the paperwork....unreal...if you had to have a cigarette, a tree was cut down for the paperwork to say yes or no! People enlist because they want, 1. to serve their country, 2. to make some money and travel, 3. to hopefully get some kind of 'after discharge' education so they'll be able to get a job making a decent living and finally 4. to have a good time and meet and make some new friends. Guess which one out of four usually happens 90% of the time? JM
