Description

Another of our winter visitors, taken at the same location as the previous photo. This was taken in the early A.M. hours so I had to lighten it a smidge. The owl was sitting on a dune approximately 20 +/- feet from where I was standing, and seemed completely unperturbed by my presence. There were a total of three owls at this location while I was there. Such magnificent creatures...I was thrilled for the experience! :o)

This one looks so mellow, I wonder if they will start coming back every year? A gorgeous photo!

I guess they are here every year but not in such large droves as they are this year. Apparently there was a lemming boom last breeding season! I do hope they come back to this area again- they usually go to the big city airports...
