Description

The gallery ask me to do a self portrait and a portrait of a man that paints portraits there. I thought they was joking but then all show up with they portraits painting and I had nothing Anyway I did paint this because of it and also someone there saw my image I did in blacklights . yes that is me with blacklight paint on and all. anyway she say I could not paint that as it would be too hard to paint. She saw the painting and laugh and say I did a good job on it. My photo of the painting is not the best . I did shoot it in raw but I could not put it in photoshop. I even try downloading the converter but it did not work. guess I have to get a newer photoshop. I read that on the net. I did fix it right in the camera but I can not save it in a jpeg

I think it's very brave of you to make this portrait. It highlights your experimentation. It is as concise as the self-portrait of Vincent van Gogh with Bandaged Ear. Very well done!

I love this! First, I love that you placed your face on one side of the image, leaving the other side empty. Second, I love the contrasts of your deep saturated blues with your oranges, and the greens in the mouth. You used green outlining in the mouth---love it!--- as well as greens in the tongue. That's really powerful---esp as they're a yellow green, not a green-green. And you have light and dark in the face---one side dark, the other light. A very strong carnivale-like face, something from mardi gras or the many other canivale festivals in the world, from last month. And a great expression, and I love that your eyes are cast off to the side. Terrific. A wonderful result.
