Description

Established at Polpeor, Lizard Point, Cornwall, by the RNLI in 1859 following the wreck of the ss Czar on 22 January 1859 when part of her crew was rescued by local boatmen.

Reminds me of the supposedly hurricane proof Coast Guard station I saw in Mississippi after Katrina. All that was left was a concrete slab. This seems to have held up better :)

A good angle for a speedy Lifeboat launch and it looks like it has really stood the test of time, don't make them like they used to ! Fine capture and find Steve. ~Cheers~
