Is this the fungus used in Chinese dishes such as hot and sour soup? It looks much like what I have seen sold in Asian markets. Nice job photographing this jewel. :)

It looks quite sinister from this angle with occult blood colouring. A bit bat like as well with a skin folded and roosting pose. Great find and capture!

Excellent capture of this, the texture is fascinating, I heard they don't taste all that significant but are indeed used in some recipe's for their texture alone... I would give it a miss... I wouldn't mess with it.

I like the backlit version because of the beautiful color but this version has a deep rich color of it's own!
