Captured 2/14/14, early AM, about a mile from my heavenly habitat.
Sorry, but I haven't the foggiest idea as to the identity of this plant.
And, if you're wondering, only some contrast and lighting manipulation was performed during the postwork procedure. There was no altering of color done.

Stunning and masterful, indeed. I agree with all the above. This is splendid. The light is just beautiful, and its dance across the leaves is so varied and rich...And it looks backlit too, from the translucent 'feel' of the light. (Even if it's not backlit, it 'feels' that way.) Perfect cropping. And the two colored leaves in center are beautiful accents. A wonderful piece. I'll be back for more soon, but just wanted to say hi right now and whoop it up for more of your work. This is a beauty. And re. your computer madness---I know all about that, lol! You enter "computer hell": You're immersed in the transfer, you can't stop for fear of something going wrong, for days you're at the mercy of two machines who have wills of their own; and, when something goes wrong, you have to tear apart the systems to know where the "glitch" was, etc etc etc. So I wish you all the best; and I'll understand if you need computer-rehab when it's done. (An imaginary place where computer-users go for detox, after switching computers. It's not a pretty sight.) Hope you can avoid that! But I'll understand if you're absent for a few days. Good luck!
