Description
I planned to get into work early, got up 1/2 hour early and took my time till I needed to rush.
Bitter cold in New England, and I rushed to get my things together at the front door.
I stood at the top of the steps and thought where are my boots?
I turned and looked, sure enough there they were at the glass doors to the deck. Where they would be to walk my girly... girl.
Where I have placed them every morning for years.
I do believe that loved ones walk the halls of our hearts, they roam the wrinkels in our minds, and caress our soles, sometimes sorrowfully and sometimes jubalently.
I miss you Amber...
how deep can a dog dig into your love...

This is so beautiful and sad and moving! the image and story, especially if one has seen your earlier image makes this a very powerful scene! If you can, contact three-grrr, jendellas, durleybeachbum, on what they do/did when they lost a furkid. My thoughts are that you get another furkid puppy, not to replace Amber, nor to walk in her paw prints but to start and new sense of joy in your hearts
