Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!Â
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper! Â
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Amazing capture Andrea. God bless.

Narcisco needs to hire you for his ad campaign. Your lighting and post work are much more attractive than the straight image.

lovely photo ! what stuff is the bottom (where the bottles are standing upon) made of?

I like the light on this Andrea - excellent shot.

While the shot with the sweater is quite nice, this one goes through the roof in appeal! If the scent is a good as the photo you will have some pleasant times.

GREAT SHOT

I line the lines in the surface of the bottles!

Terrific POV closeup, and I really like the lines and various and sundry patterned lighting effects reflecting off the surface of the bottles, A.

interesting packaging Great shot

Interesting bottles, I like both shots for completely different reasons. I like the reflections on the bottles in this one and the other one with the carefully placed sweater as a back-drop to present the bottles in a more traditional manner.

You definately could be hired (or maybe you already are?) for the ad photography for this product. Both are very attractive shots...although this one is my personal favorite of the two

Two outstanding versions - almost looks like two different bottles and package!

First, the flickr is amazing---amazing how different it is from this shot: All flesh-peach-pinks; and the cashmere, though ribbed, still feels like utter softness all-rumpled and caressing the bottle. (The beauty of good cashmere is how it can transform even ribs into flows of pure softness.) But then here---this is one of your most dramatic contrasts between 2 bottle shots!---the bottles suddenly becomes glassy, metallic surfaces, filled with refractions and angles, like brushed metal; and a repository for undulation and light. Completely different photo, even though it's the same bottle with the hues. Very powerful capture---and your pov lets the large bottle loom, like royalty. Beautiful interpretation, Andrea, and more excitement in your ever-continuing bottle series (which I love). (Did you know that cashmere is around 8 times warmer than wool? I'm sure you knew that, being a fabric lover, but I had to say it because, in our present winter---which is shades of the north freakin' pole---it's been the warmest item in my wardrobe: Those cashmere scarves kept me warmer than any other scarves I've ever worn, and as warm as my heavy coats. It keeps goats in the Kashmiri mountains warm, it should do the same for us, right? Anyway, it's always amazing that such a delicate fabric should be that warm...)
