man, would I love to see the whole piece. This strip is amazingly complex, amazing in its layers of colonies and pathways and valleys and rivers, etc. It's natural but it's also like a big piece of galactic fabric. (For a coat one wouldn't want to piss off, lol.) Terrific use of hue, here, and light and shadow. And 3 dimensional layers, caverns and abysses. A lot going on in a tiny strip. Really fine, Mandi, really inventive. And filled with a ton of life. 10 stars. I love it. (btw, don't know if I've said this before, but when I first saw those "codes" for Mandelbulb, I thought they were just some fractal-y takeoff on a description, like some private joke fractal artists have between themselves. Then someone told me, "No, Mark: That's code for the piece." Right? Well, I'd love to see something like that under paintings in a museum, or under frescoes from the Renaissance, or whatever. Code that viewers could take home to make their own Sistine Chapel. Why not? I'll never understand fractals; and for a while I thought you all were plotting to take over the universe. But now I've just decided you're all artists like the rest of us. You gotta admit, though, seeing that code stuff---to a total newbie---is pretty strange. Like you meant to write a description, but moved your hands two keys to the right, and everything came out skewed. I just don't understand fractals. But this is an example of why they can be so remarkable.)
