Description

I think this will be the last of my madrone abstracts for a while. I'll try to find something a little different to post tomorrow...

Well okay, but I've sure enjoyed the series! Any time you want to return to the subject, you have my attention.

The madrone series is over for now? Arghhhhhhh! I'm going into withdrawal! I've loved this: When I became aware it was a "series," I looked forward to each new addition---I'm with tara, you can return to it any time. (I understand you can't do one thing too long, I totally get that. You don't want your fans to get madrone'd out, but it's an electric series.) (Ok, another aside: I think "madrone" comes from "matron" or "madonna," right? You probably know. I don't know why it's used for these trees, unless to accent their matronly presence...But it's funny, because Italian has the famous expression, "marone!!!"---as in "you've GOT to be kidding!" or "holy s---t!!!" And somehow that fits, here: because these shots have a shock-to-the-senses-feeling, they grab us and make us go "marone! holy cow!" Real impact...) Another shot of bark around a bulging interior: Only in this one, we suddenly get those bright yellows and oranges. They're allmost day-glo, or like like burning embers. A marone forest must be a treasure trove for your eye, as there's so much you'll light up to, see essences in; and this one seems like it was just waiting for you. (It's a fitting end to the series too.) And look---the yellows and oranges even have a black area around them, like char from their heat! A big sappy glowing capture, and very alive...Claude, I just realized I haven't fav'd anything! Sorry! I just forgot (getting caught up in the shots). Just take a big fav for this whole glowing bunch, or maybe I should say this big pulsing oozing spilling and dazzlingly colored bunch. Terrific series. Like I say, the madrones have to be happy about this series...
