This reminds me of some abstract and surrealist paintings of the 30s and 40s (1930's and 1940's). Bits of Miro, bits of Paul Klee, and other artists of that time. It's a big bold collage, with lots of organic shapes snaking around, very bold reds and blues---you're in Matisse territory here, with such bold blues and reds---and with a mix of highly intricate detail and playful child-like shapes. It feels like a child's dream; but it also feels like a sophisticated adult's vision. And the lighter blues---some of those blobs in the center---are a fine contrast to that deep yellows and reds. Love the 'creatures' here---in fact, I love that you made a random, mixed and hectic composition, with a feeling of a metropolis filled with creatures milling and buzzing around---it even has some traffic. Playful, enticing and exciting. I love this piece!
