Les imposants vestiges d'un passé glorieux résisteront-ils aux dégradations de la violence moderne ? Et pourtant ne sont-ils pas les témoins éloquents d'anciennes guerres meurtrières ? l'humanité ne change pas, et l'homme est toujours un loup pour l'homme.....une oeuvre très forte, Jean !

A long time I have studied this, creative beauty Jean. Here various times come together, which makes it very interesting. The colors of the image of the Pharaohs I find beautiful, I love their bright appearance. It is such a contrast with the people that are in the foreground; although, in one way or another it seems the story they tell each other, is the same.

I look at this and I think how our monuments will be juxtaposed against some future civilization which evolved from us but we would not likely recognize. Our great and powerful nations two thousand years in the past not so eternal as we once proclaimed. Our 'Gods' out of fashion or maybe even debunked. Very thoughtful work. Especially with the backdrop of all the upheaval in Egypt these days.
