Description

"Robin #2Spr - 10 Degrees" This is the second Robin I have seen in 2014. He was all puffed up due to the 10 Degree F weather. The ground was covered with snow so there weren't many sources for food. The Robin stayed in the tree and watched me while I took a hot dog bun and stuck it on a lower branch. I was afraid he would fly off, but didn't. I never noticed the stripes on a Robin's feet/toes before. Thank you for viewing my gallery and your comments. Edited only for size to meet site requirements.

American robin, i presume. In Europe the head is low grey and the red zone nt so large. Exceptional capture. Bravo !

A first class shot Jim and it must have known you weren't going to do it any harm and that you had food in your pocket.

You did a great job on this amazing capture, Jim. My parents also have several beautiful birds living around their place despite the cold temperatures.

Какая чудесная фотография. Она хороша ещё потому, что именно сегодня я у себя в саду на ветке видела точно такую же красивую птицу. Замечательная работа!

What a wonderful picture. It is also good because just today I am at home in the garden on a branch saw the exact same beautiful bird. Wonderful work! by E-Nomime This morning I saw another Robin scratching around on our snow and ice encrusted ground for something to eat. I went out and bought two bird feeders. So far, no bird seems to have discovered it. JC
