Description

Gray Water ---------- created: 2-4 MAR 2014 created with: Vue 6 Infinite (aka Vue6i), Poser Pro 2014 Final Image = render from Vue6i, then postwork with a touch of sharpening and a catchlight for the alien's eye. =============== items used: ---------- * Grey Alien (from my Poser Pro 2014's included content library) * Class II Gallactic Cruiser (.OBJ) by herminio --FREEBIE-- www.sharecg.com =============== about: ------ I haven't used my "Vue 6 Infinite" program for some time now, mainly due to struggling with long render times with my previous old computers which were underpowered for the tasks....AND because during that time I had two hard drives die on two different computers that killed a lot of my stuff! Also, I have sadly been unable to keep up with updating VUE because at the first update time I was forced to pay for our broken car windscreen, and thereafter I was never able to come up with the upgrade money for many financial reasons afterwards. I'd been using and upgrading VUE from way back since "Vue d' Esprit" days. So it's really annoying and frustrating that I've fallen off the upgrade wagon and are no longer applicable. - I spent a LOT of money buying Vue6i back then and having a bad monetary exchange rate didn't help either. But finally, now having a new, more powerful computer, I wondered if Vue6i would run on it with Windows 8.1 (64 bit). After all, I'd spent all that money back then and this computer should be able to handle it....but would it run under this operating system? But I couldn't find my own burned-off disc of my purchase anywhere here at home...arghhh!. - However I was able to get a new download of it from my account at e-onsoftware.com (good thing I registered it back then). In any event, I've got it working now (and with it's update) but the Poser-import aspect seems broken (it actually crashed Vue6i) when trying to use it with my installation of "Poser Pro 2014" (no real surprises there because of the many version changes made since Poser 7). I can still export a figure etc from Poser as a .OBJ and import that into Vue6i so that helps at least. That's what I did with the Grey Alien guy here. -- So after all of the installation woes I had, I have Vue6i installed and so I'm making quick playrounds because I have to re-learn how to use the program again after all this time, ;-) This image is the evolved result of my first playaround. Z.
