Description

Last January I learned of a large flock of Sandhill Cranes that over-winter at the Hiwassee wildlife refuge, at the confluence of the Hiwassee and Tennessee rivers. I made two trips there and, since the only spot I could shoot from put the cranes at the limit of my long lens’ capability, I shot nearly 30GB of pictures. Out of those, I managed to get a couple of dozen good ones. I will be posting a lot of the best ones over the next few days.
