Spending most of my memorable life in the Midwest (Chicago), I moved to Colorado in '99 and haven't looked back. This is one of the most beautiful places, with its vast landscapes and temperate climate. I have my family, health, and a job that I love. I am mindful and perceptive to be granted such fortunate opportunities in my life.BIOI am a self-taught Medical Animator & Graphic Designer that works mostly on the Micro/Macro level for a small Multi-Media Production House. Most of my images are science related because I was raised with Science & Biology (thanks to my father, the greatest).
I have always found it so fascinating, and interesting. I am always eager to learn more.
I have been using Cinema 4D XL for almost 4 years now, and have never had any problems, like with so many other 3D applications that I have tried and tried. It truly is the easiest, and most powerful program out there. (You know people and their software; its like religion or politics, or even worse Macs vs. PCs, so I will be polite).
Artists that have inspired me are, in no particular order; Salvador Dali, Karl Blossfelt, Keith Harring, Wassily Kandinsky, Roy Liechtenstein, and Mark Ryden to name a few.

absolutely photorealistic!!!!

did you model this 'by hand'? Or was it made by using a 3d-scan? Anyway very realistic and original pic.

Very cool stuff, nice lighting, HDRI? Is BODO a real skull?? Where was it found? The only think I could tell you for improving the realism of this would be to lower your specular channel, really old bones, dinosaur bones I know tend to be really dull in their finish. Cool stuff anyway!

The BODO skull is real, it was found in Ethiopia in 1976, this is a reconstructed CT data model. HDRI light dome, with one omni light.

Looks real good except for the specularity -- it's way to high for a 600,000 year old material (unless it's petrified one way or another). I also suggest using a "cracked" bump map, or simply C4D's own noise (with a scale of say 10%) as a bump, just to add some cracks and surface signs of age. But the model itself is really well done.

I dont mind the texture, it looks like somebody painted the cast or bones with a thick coat of shiny white paint.
