Description
Greetings Folks,
This is for Neil and for his good lady, Karen, (though I know her interest is limited.. ) But my thoughts have been with them both..
Possibly the shot of last year, taken at the last show of last year! (The Autumn Show at Duxford)..
Hear we have the famous Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress 'Sally B' and Republic P-47 Thunderbolt 'Razorback', 'Snafu', on a very rainy murky day caught perfectly as they may have been years ago.......
I've kept this large enough for 'screen size' so if you like use it... 'Snafu' will appear soon again..
More glorious Ariel shots to come plus a most unusual Ariel Render!
Soak it up!
Rob

Cheers buddy... we appreciate the thought and I can really appreciate the shot, there is really nothing to separate the 70 years between this in peace time or in war. A marvelous shot of two fantastic aircraft.....huge thanks mate...

stunning capture

Good heavens, it looks like the P-47 is attached to the belly of the Flying Fortress in this most extraordinary photo, mate. And the white smoke certainly is not the result of machine gun fire from a Messerschmitt 109e during a raid over Schweinfurt. In any event, great composition and sharp as a tack in this capture, Rob.

Nice shot. Love how you got the blades to freeze.

So close they could talk to each other. Stunning mate :)

HOLY WOW! What a shot, Rob! This just kicks arse in every way! This could be a scene from WW2, and I'm sure this was repeated many times during the conflict. A great shot and dedication!
