Why does blood mean violence and suffering? It could stand for life? Blood is everything. Blood is circulation, we couldnt live without it. Blood is our HEART. And isnt the heart associated with love and tenderness?

I can't believe you made this with real blood..Why? It would have been wonderful (technically is a great thing and so is the subject), but I can't really accept you used blood of animal for it.. If you wanted to shock with the medium, the only blood you would have been in right to use would have been your own one, not the one of another creature who i am sure would have never accepted that blood to be taken for no purpose. I am sorry to say it,since the artwork in itself is fantastic, but the kind of "natural" medium you used is just a shame. And this is not a "shocking thing", it's just sad. You contradicts the love of the subject show with the bestiality of the use of another-not-capable-to-say-NO's blood.And you made a thing you shouldn't have, blood of every creature, as life, is more precious than any effort targeting to "art".Art is celebration of life, in all its aspects but you didn't celebrated it, you dismissed it. Sorry for my honesty, you won't care probably, but I had to be sincere and you asked for it.

Just to let u guys know: I did not want to shock with it. I do not see blood as a shocking thing. However, probably you guys are right, probably you arent. I do thank you for your honesty.

WHATS THE MATTER?? this is a hard world guys! TAKE or it will be taken from u! blood is everything, right! blood is life, and living is to take AND to give. humans always killed animals (and other humans) and it will never change, it is our way. We are not the enlighted, super-social and extremly ethical creatures we want to be! we are humans, the most dangerous predators of this world. Deep inside everyone is a raging beast, but we have the society to keep our beast chanied. to draw such a picture with blood, shows that u understand your true nature of mankind. good style, yet not perfect.

Forget the bloody arguements!! As a work of art it is just outstanding!! Life Blood, Love, perversion, Joy, !! This image can evoke all of these emotions depending on the viewer surely the point of all art.

ElPollo, you are right in your opinion. But I would like to go a bit farther. I know that the world is a bloody place, but if always accept everything as it is it will never change for me. Somehow I try to change myself, somehow my surroundings. Do I succeed? I cannot decide. But at least I can try...

I would not take such a pessimistic view of humanity either I agree with Elpollo and danob it does not matter, and is it art yes indeed it is! good, bad, thats up to each of us to decide. I think it is a tender image it may as well be red ink.

Read your history, this is the oldest form of painting on the planet. And believe me, I'd use an animals blood for other things than just painting if driven to it. Art is art, in it self is neither good or bad it just "is". I agree with BladeWolf, the first medium was blood. Now that the political correct BS has been discussed it's time to go to work. Yeah, blood is blood. Just the stuff that flows through everybody's vains. Without blood you cannot live, blood is life not death.

add an a-ha soundtrack and you have a winner blood or no blood. is rather ironic that this "bloody" piece is tame compared to most of your other stuff. they have more bite.. no pun intended.

this is a bloody nice piece of art and i agree with all from above accept gallimel... sometimes even the medium used has a bit of meaning.. Brilliant and tastefull :)
