Description
Here again the U-2.
It is a plane with a design taken to the limit to achieve maximum flight altitude. In early versions, the weight of the photographic film, going from full to empty roll varies the balance of the plane. We had to redesign the camera.
Despite its appearance as the U-2 glider is difficult to drive. At the maximum flight altitude speed to "never exceed" is only a few knots above the stall speed.
The landing is also difficult, the plane is "floating" and sensitive to side winds. A second expert pilot who drives a fast car pursuing the plane, provides indications to U-2 pilot, guiding him to the ground with the wings level and at the correct height.

Now, once upon a time when my Father ran a pub, it was the place where pilots from RAF Wittering (Harriers) and RAF Alconbury (USAF) went to drink.. Both sets of pilots and crews often took me onto both bases to look around.. This included sitting in the aircraft.. Alconbury, had Phantoms and afterwards U-2's! I sat in both.. The U-2 was at the time VERY top secret and I was allowed access.. My childhood was totally based around aircraft.. I loved it.. Great model mate, super render.. (I hope this is readable to you.. Sorry its long..,) Rob
