Description
This stone head sits, serene but seemingly lifeless, in my friend's garden. But could it be dreaming & exploring fantastic inner worlds?

"I am dreaming of the days of yore when last I had a body and four limbs and dreaming of the day when once again I shall be able to walk, gesture and throw a stone at my tormentor who tore me asunder."

Looks like the 'son' of the gardener. Nice shot.

It does seem to be in the midst of a wonderful dream; wonder if he's dreaming the world around us? Great find and capture!

This could easily be in your own garden, in that bit outside the kitchen window where the steps go down from the driveway. That's where I thought it was, at first, but surely I would have remembered such a thing if it had been there. Perhaps it dreams of its place in your garden ... an affinity ... :)

Very interesting. Do you now where this artifact originated? Cool item to have in the gardens.

The face has very interesting expression, really dreamlike.

wonderful sculpture, esp in this setting. And your capture grants it a very stony and aged dignity. Your light here--intense, almost bleached in spots--makes the face seem from an ancient world, where the light is mythic and high key. I like very much how you presented this to us. Also, a post or heavy plant-trunk sits behind it (maybe holding it up), and those rocks beneath it---both frame the head very nicely. Maybe it's dreaming of the primal substances of that region long before humans set foot on it; a dream of luminous stone and weathered surfaces. A very living capture. And I know tara has met you, and apparently was at your home: It must be great to see the actual area you've given such vivid voice to here...

I can see the sleeping face and I do like the stone decoration!
