Well, here is my first attempt to do and post a bit of manipulation, cutting and pasting. I hope to get better at it with a little practice. I am posting it so those of you who have inspired me to try can see that I actually am making the attempt.
I took the photo's of this lovely allium field last summer. Not being as brave as some of you I did not dare venture across the road to jump the fence for a better POV so I was never very happy about the poles in the photo where you can see the entire field. But, I wanted to include the broad view so that the size of the field could be seen.
I love living in The Netherlands. In the spring and summer when the flowers bloom I often come across a field like this. Bless my ever patient husband (digaph not active here presently), who kindly caters to my expressions of delight and my requests to stop for photos. I am not sure where we were at the time as I still get easily turned around, but I do know it was in the Netherlands. :)

A great set of pictures, a friend at the flower shows sells these but I've not seen them like this, I like your border It suits the pictures and If you have photoshop you might want to try the clone stamp tool to get rid of the junk its not easy but with a little practise. On One software have a special tool that you just click and draw over the object to remove it , I've not tried it so don't know how good it is but I do own one of their photo suits and that works great, failing that buy your husband a chain saw and some wire cutters,Give him a cutting list ,Off you go darling.

It's great that you're experimenting; and the thing is, you can do it over and over at home, and post the ones you like the best. I've seen your gallery, and I also want to say that your "straight" photography is beautiful as well. But keep on "messing around," it's one of the joys of having software... You did a simple but beautiful montage here, moving from a further view, to a closer view, to a 'closest' view (top to bottom): That works wonderfully with these intense rows of flowers. And you picked a great field, because the purples stand out brilliantly against all that green. The three sections almost make an abstract, even though they're so totally flowers. A very nice combination: If this were huge, and on a wall, it would fill up the whole room. And re stepping over fences: This looks like it could be a difficult fence, lol: I can't tell from the picture, but maybe that fence would cut you. And besides, if you're going to climb over wire fences, you want to be sure the people who own the property are 'nice': I've climbed over bushes only to meet an owner who was ready to call the police. I actually said, once, "Ohhhh---I didn't know YOU were here!" (It was his property, who did I EXPECT to find?) I meekly walked off his property and took the photo from behind the bushes...

What an impressing series of purple giants you show us here Katherine. It also looks so exuberant. I've never seen anything like that in real life, so I'm very glad you posted this amazing beautiful pictures, my friend. Also thanks for your patient husband, I know how irritating and fanatical we can be sometimes, eh? ;-)

I really like this. For me, the middle photo is the best composition, and would stand as a very good image on its own.....

First of all, I like to say this, PURPLE is one of my two fav. colours, so a few more manipulated specimens are welcome and right up my alley ...
