Hi all, ultim8 here! my 'real' name is James, my age is post thirties :-(   , and live in Sunny London (UK). I'm VERY Happily married and have a Brilliant Wife and Two Amazing kids :-) I am also the proud owner of Blue, my Sphynx cat (That's him as my Avatar. He kept winning...I think he was cheating.!) I've been using Vue for a few years, and before that I dabbled with Bryce. (Check out my gallery while you're here!!!) ((Don't forget to leave comments!)) (((I know, Begging is Sad. But I'm Desperate!))) I wish to try my hand at modelling (3D modelling, on my PC! Not the other kind, that would be cruel!) But my PC kind of sucks! and I don't know where to start...:-(
If anyone actually reads these things, please be kind and drop me a line, help me to break into 3D modelling. (PLEEEEEASE!)
Thanx. ultim8 :-)Â

Very natural looking scene – I like the variety of plants and placement very much! It is a great render as is – my only feedback is the foreground tree is a little high contrast and background is a little low contrast (for my taste and IMHO) – easy adjustments in post. Very nice work!!!

Thank you for your comments. I will take them onboard. The differences in contrast I put down to the Atmosphere I used (It was a spectral I think) and the fact that I positioned the sun to be pointing slightly towards the 'camera', which created the haze and the sharp contrasts. I did tweak the levels and contrast a bit in Photoshop and found this to be the optimum image. some seemed too washed out, some too dark. I have been away from making images and rendering for some time and seem to have lost the knack. I hope to produce more and will try to improve. Thanks again.

Nice work, I like the setup and lighting. I do think the reeds should be lowered a bit to make it look even better, they seem to be on the water instead of in the water.

Thanks for the comment! I hadn't actually noticed the reeds thing! I should have. :-(

Love the mood... although I can almost hear the insects buzzing...!

Thanks! Funny you should mention Insects. there are actually two dragonflies in the image, but they seem to be invisible!!! they are at the bottom, just above the water, and inside the camera POV. But I cannot see them!
