(I can not begin to describe how perfect this is; it is primordial Dara... at least to me and I think that is what was intended, so I add only enough story to match what I see. The next part of the story... if there is one... is yours) He is uncomfortable; the egg has not been turned in hours. Where is the one beyond? He knows only what his instincts tell him. Something is wrong and he must go beyond. He kicks at the between that has protected him from the beyond. The struggle will take hours, he is getting cold; the one beyond has not warmed him. A shadow passes over the between, is it the one beyond? The shadow moves back and forth. His instincts tell him, he must not stay here. He is tiring but continues his struggle and at last the between cracks. His eyes, it is so bright, he must not open his eyes yet. The between begins to fall away, it is much colder now. He gasps his first breath. The cold bites at his lungs and he chirps his first sound. Where is the one beyond? There is no one to greet him, to clean his feathers. He opens his eyes and sees others, but they are wrong. Instinct, danger. He is in danger. The nest will not be safe much longer; the fear that the one this nest belongs too returning will not hold the others away for another hour. He tries to unfold his wings, they are wet. He can only wait for the sun to dry his wings. And watch the others circling.
