This reminds me of some of the places we've been in our travels. Flat or nearly flat, featureless, bleak ... and very, very beautiful. This sort of landscape has an attraction all its own. In the past I didn't enjoy this sort of view, but I've come to love it. There's a sense of peace and solitude and deep soul rest that comes with that much (relatively) blank space, and it's an amazing experience to be surrounded by it and drink it in. This painting is so evocative of those places. Thank you, my friend!
