Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

I like this, night shots are always interesting and you have done well with the post work.

only 3 full-views, and this is soooooooo much fuller when zoomed!!! (People, we're all artists, don't you wanna see what the artist wanted? Ok, I'll get off that...) Full view, this blooms, your postwork is a series of radiating lights emanating out in "echoes". The rectangles of the building are invaded by all those radiations, and the pointillist dots of light---in the sky and in the trees---make this an abstract and impressionist work all at once. How beautifully you've emphasized the eye-popping lights---eye-popping in your treatment. I just looked at the display version (the smaller) and there's no comparison. This is beautiful, Andrea, and I can totally understand why this was enjoyable for you. Brilliant!!!

Again, what Mark said. He saved me so much typing and thinking of things to say on this remarkable digifiddle, Andrea. I'm getting lazy in my old age.

I like the effects on the lights in both versions - always enjoy your digifiddling!

So much is missed if one doesn't zooooom in on this one. It's marvelous postwork, which doesn't show up at all hardly unless one goes for the big picture. I really love foggy pictures anyway, and wow, does the postwork make this one special!
