Houmas House Louisiana It's the light, of course. It reminded me of your "early morning hunting" light. Just imagine a cat wherever it looks best to you, and the scene will be complete. :) I hope you're having a wonderful birthday, my friend, filled with all the things you love best. That Harp is simply fascinating to look at - but even more so is that upholstery pattern on the chair, all sorts of insects: Butterflies, Moth (?) and Dragonflies, how amazing and wonderful at the same time - "they don't make them like that anymore" ... (not that I have ever seen it, but then again I may live a pretty sheltered sort of a life here in Down Under ;P ... and not to forget THAT lighting, it's so cool and makes a fine dedi for your friend. BB

Happy BIrthday, Craig!!! And Craig can relax because catgut is actually from goats or sheep, and occasionally cattle---so cats of the world, relax! Besides the harp and chair, the light behind and the light in front make this a beautiful photograph, Tara. The harp and chair are almost "zen" in juxtaposition, even though their ornamentations harmonize with each other: It's the fact of a 'chair' and a 'harp' that make them so totally different. It's a piece of a glorious-looking instrument, hidden behind a beautiful chair, making a beautiful pov. The light on the chair---bathed as it is in your deep brown shadows---is contrasted with that utter white light---I was going to say "flat" white, but it's more luminous than flat. And the contrast of berries and leaves with those ephemeral curtains is more zen contrast: It's beautiful. A beautiful and luminous capture, with loving contrasts, and the feeling of a very intimate space being lit from somewhere special---somehow all features that Craig makes his fans feel. A beautiful dedi for Craig, and a beautiful photo (which everyone else agrees with). Happy birthday again, Craig!

The curtains harp and chair, the light, so smoothly, diffuse, everywhere, all the subtle reflections such gentle, makes this an intensely, lovely sight.
