Description

Special Notes: I'm working on the next Moeth chapter, but I'm taking my time with it. The next chapter is "Blood Day" or mid-terms. I'm finding the chapter difficult. The Temple will run red with blood, but... I don't want to show the violence, only imply the level of violence and cruelty that will take place among the shadowlings as they fight for the limited Raven positions available. And, the real hard part is Lane. I want something very specific from him; I'm on the sixth rewrite of the story. So, in the meantime, enjoy Zam.

He knows how to do thing almost right! if he is trying to hide from others then he's given his position away - this could be deliberate given his location and the possible or impossible route to his location Great scene

I don't think you were around during the original Zam story. Zam is the Spirit of Mischief, Prince of the Sprites, Lord of the Forest, and First of his kind. His Father is the Fox Spirit, His mother is the Moon Spirit, his Uncle the Wolf Spirit, and his Cousin the Crow Spirit. Zam fears nothing and hides from nothing. Zam rode to Earth on a moonbeam and was presented to the Sun Spirit to receive his name. Yea, anyway. That was the original picture book Zam story. In the upcoming novel version of Zam, I will be taking a bit more realistic view of Zam and explore the origins of the legends.

I bet the view from there is terrific! When it gets dark, the people in the valley below will see fire in the sky. A fine addition to the myths! :) Take your time with the story, and make it as long as it needs to be. We'll wait! :)

On zoom I imagine seeing a goddess or genie with arms crossed and a beautiful veil in the smoke, either intentional or accidental it is a very nice addition to this wonderful art!

There is definitley a body shape in the smoke, maybe a guardian spirit .. maybe just a dream. I do love this image, maybe because of the sky and the campfire .. The story will work out how ever it needs to. Best not to rush it, you can't force it or it will just not be right.
