I've finally jumped feet first into the digital medium. It's addictive!BIOMary has no formal training in art, but inherited a natural talent and artistic curiosity from her father, the late Farrell D. Beck, Snr., who had some local/regional success as an oil painter. She has dabbled in oil painting and graphite pencil, but has most recently taken to using coloured pencils, watercolours and digital mediums to create her artwork. She quit her job at a local radio station in August of 2001 to pursue her dream of being her own boss, and found that not having the everyday stress of working for someone else seemed to unlock her creative energy. Mary created about 12 pieces between August of 2001 and January 2002, more drawing in four months than she'd done in the past 10 years.

Lovely detailed work ... and a charming fairy. I like that particular play on words, too.
