Ah, memories...finaly someone who remembers Magnus...4000A.D. and hopefully the art of the late Russ Manning...do more, please!

Magnus the robot fighter - and their was always a secondary story that was great....believe something like lost in space, but to many brain cells been written over to many times to really remember much more then that. Agree with maudawg - a great tribute to that classic work.

The Pol Rob is just like I remember them. I guess it takes a baby-boomer, or a hard core comic collector to know Magnus. It was a cool series that took place in the distant future. Mankind lived in a modern version of the Roman empire. Robots were man's servants, but there were always bad men to reprogram them for chaos. Magnus' power was that he was trained in some futuristic Kung-fu and mental conditioning that enabled him to fight bad robots in hand-to-hand combat. Very Flash Gordonesque. I hope you do a few more of these renders.

Thank you all for your kind words. Magnus by Russ Manning was a great series for Gold Key Comics. I still have a couple of issues from the tome. BTW hewsan, the other series(also by Manning) was "The Aliens"
