Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

That's a great mask indeed.. I'm also not sure where it comes from :)

Hard to say, it could also be Polynesian, African or Maori too. Excellent shot!

in either case, the expression is one that is not pleased. I pity the person who views the one wearing this mask Great capture Dana

I worked for some people that had so many masks from African and Mexican/ South American cultures. I had to move them to paint. seemed strange knowing they had actually been worn by witch doctors. outstanding shot

Horns, a nice 'fro and facial scars, could be an ancient Halloween mask ? LOL Nice find and capture of whatever it is ! ~Cheers~

Fascinating - certainly an original artefact, and definitely NOT MADE IN CHINA! ;P be good to find out one fine day, where it originates from - and keep us informed, if you will ever be able to trace it ! BB
