Description

This little Havanese puppy exploring is aged just 3 weeks, and I painted it for my Mum using one of my photos for reference. He features in her Mother's Day card. As many of you know she has Alzheimer's but she can still get into memories if I just jog her a bit. So hopefully when she opens her card we can talk about the time we bred little Button (she named him that). She will forget about it all a couple of minutes after we remember those wonderful days, but if I can see her just remember a little something of those times and see her smile it will certainly make my day. This is so adorable, and so beautifully painted! I know your Mum will enjoy this, and I just know it will bring back memories of these beautiful pups for her! It's sad to watch all someone with Alzheimer's slowly lose all their memories. My daughter's Mum-in-Law said to her one day, "I remember being married, but I don't remember to who", and then she cried. She's gone on to meet her Maker now, God Bless Her. I hope all your Mum's memories are happy ones, and that the sad ones never intrude in her thoughts.
