What an interesting box, did they sell pills in there? It was a little too small to hang out probably a two-man box, at any rate very interesting picture thanks for posting this. Stan

Where I lived 20 years ago there was a few of these in the nearby countryside by linking roads. Very interesting bits of history mate.

What a rich view, with so much to see on it. I like the nature colors and all the textures.

great shot, like the way the image divides up between land and sea with their textured and coloured differences, I find that very pleasing visually

A beautiful landscape/seascape around this WWI relic. I just did a wee bit of reading and found that the first Australian campaign in WWI was to go for the German possessions in New Guinea and elsewhere in the Pacific. I'm sure there was at least a threat of retaliation by the German Navy. This is a very colorful and rich photo.

I love these coastal views; it's so wild has a completely different feel than the beaches here. Beautiful!

CarolusB : If you read books and checked WW1 history you'll see that sea battles took place all over the globe from the North Sea to the Falklands to the coasts of Australia.. The box is a look out.. History mate well shot, great post.. Rob

our WW II towers were watchtowers for submarines. A wonderful spot for the pillbox!
