Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Another ocean beauty from you---zoomed we can see the ghosts of the mountains, it's one of those ocean shots that no lake could ever get, filled with beautiful bluffs and craggy mounds, and the water washing up below with all that wonderful fog. You know that ocean so well, you know exactly what to shoot, and when; and the ocean puts on its best show for you 'cause it knows who's coming. Moody and beautiful, Marilyn. You're on a first name basis with the ocean, and it pays you back everytime you're near it.

Very nice POV. I've enjoyed your last few images a lot - you've caught the coast at its moody best. Well done.

Magnificent dank ocean shore atmosphere in this long shot, Marilyn…. so dreary, but so serene. You seek out the most awesome areas, where angels fear to tread, in your quest for an interesting capture. Speaking of ghosts, shades of the 1980 movie, The Fog, by John Carpenter. That chiller takes place around a beach.
