Description
Here's Part Three. Enjoy, and thanks for looking.
Also, thanks to everyone who made the things I used and to my husband, Spectre, for the story.

The silence was broken by splashing water and the drawing of weapons, both of which glinted in the dim light offered by the dank darkness. Both figures whipped around the corner, one leaping towards the other, and then time stood still. Luci's armor, enchanted as it was, reacted a split second earlier than she, and areas that were bare were soon covered by a grayish bodysuit, that was no less protection than the rest of her attire.
"Who -are- you?" Lucidity demanded, blaster weapon up and leveled towards the darkly clad figure's throat. The figure was male, wielding a staff that had a blade on both ends, and looked perfectly ready to cut her, just as she was ready to pull the trigger. The dark eyes showed no emotion towards her, and the mask over the lower half of his face hid any expressions that might have crossed his lips in that moment.
Silence overtook the area again, as they stood there, bodies tense. It was then that he spoke, voice almost a raspy hiss beneath that mask.
"I'm your salvation, don't you know?" Commented the masked figure, remaining where he stood.
"No time for mind games, stranger. I have a job to d-" She began, but was cut off by the figure's voice again.
"Spectre. That's the only name you'll need to know. And I'm offering you a chance to finish your job, with my help."
"I don't -need- your help." She replied, eyes narrowing.
"You don't? Let's restate the obvious. You're alone, the rest of your people killed. And you're going to go up against a virtual army, with one blaster? I could have killed you when you reentered the sewers, Dalton." He stated flatly, dark eyes narrowing as well.
"How did you know my n-" Again, she's cut off as he spoke.
"I was paid to deal with you. Unfortunately, my employers decided to screw me out of the deal, and do it themselves. You're alive, so it's their big mistake. I'm your saving grace, Dalton. And you're running out of time in making this decision."
Still, they stood like statues, ready to kill each other. After minutes of deathly silence, she nodded her head.
"Fine, 'Spectre'. But don't turn sides when it comes down to the wire. I -will- kill you for it. And I know what you are, Changeling. So I know that I can't trust you completely." Her lips curled in a sneer.
"Ah, another that can see through glamour. Believe it, people like that are rare. Now follow me, I know a less intrusive and revealing way in." He stated, and turned, regardless of the weapon trained on him, heading deeper into the sewers.
Lucidity was reluctant, but followed. After all, what choice did she really have?

fantastic story, spectre! great poses here. there's a real sense of action. one small detail: her thumb on clenched hand, looks broken. i know, i know, kind of nit picky. 9.50 rating. keep on keepin on.
Crasher
Nah, not nitpicky, since I can pose my own thumb just like that. But I'm double jointed, so it's a little different. ;)
