Description

Nesting in the ivy between the Studio and the Dining Room. Theye are safe there, I hope, but a nest in the hedge of Blackbirds with 4 healthy hatchlings was predated yesterday by probably a squirrel. The empty nest was on the ground, so I don't think it was a corvid this time

Always loved robin's.. such characterful little birds, always nice to see them in the garden. Memories of the halcyon days of the early 70's fishing as a kid.. they would hop on to the edge of the bait box and take their share of maggots... always threw them some in the winter when things were frozen. Fantastic shot of this little one with plenty of food for the family.

A lovely photo of the Robin and maybe a snack in his or her bill. I did not know that squirrels were carnivores.
