This from a visit in 2005. The cranes were there for the rebuilding of Frauenkirke...almost completed but we were unable to see the interior..but Wolfgang ( billcody ) did upload some of his photos.!

Excellent POV and repetition in this image of the elegant building, Jean. Since Dresden was reduced to complete ashes in WWII, it must be a relatively current structure.

Absolutely lovely, and a beautiful capture. And for someone who is really not a great lover of blue as a shade in general...this particular hue is fantastic. Can anyone tell me the significance of the various animal heads as adornments? I notice they are not all one in the same, but rather, they vary. And I wonder what they are meant to symbolize or represent, exactly. Just curious. :)

A very elegant structure . One of my neighbours who was until retirement to headmistress of a little private school came from Dresden It was very unwise to mention the war in her hearing.
