Description
hi everyone...what a day for me...I got bluebirds...I think...I've been waiting and watchin for them. I actually built another box so now I have 2. they hung out in the yard all day I think trying to decide which box they want. they only went in the new one...I hope they start building tomorrow...fingers crossed...a crow has nested in the top of a huge pine tree that is near the back of my property. I noticed it on my fence this a.m. and it had something in its beak it was banging against the fence. I kept watching and it was a snake. I felt bad for the snake started to go out and try and rescue it but it was too late I saw flesh fly as the crow was poking it with its beak...then it wrapped it up in its claws and flew up to the nest so I did not know crows are carnivourous...wish they ate squirrels instead of snakes... :( so that was the highlites of my day today. tonites shot is the same tulip as last nites except it is open. the primary colour was pink...my least fav of all colours...I was pleasantly surprised when it opened and there was yellow inside and a blueish pistil with an orangey stigma, stamen and anthers. a most beautiful flower and I had to capture it with the rain drops on it. I've grown very fond of the flowers. I have several colours i'll be showing. I hope they will come back again next year. I have to have them in pots as squirrels will eat them, the little pest...hope you like my photo and please enjoy your time and be safe...
