As a boy I wandered field and mountain, desert and ocean, forest and the icy reaches at the top and bottom of our world, and each place I found was another mystery waiting for me to discover. One day I found a silver doorway set into the side of a tall mountain. There were such detailed carvings of moons and planets and stars and all those things beyond our own small planet that I pulled the door open without hesitation, and within was the infinite apeirogon. I traveled the apeirogon on the back of a moonbeam I had rescued from the Land of Shadows. In time, I came to the Crystal Universe, and there I live to this day, writing of all I have seen.

This explains my fear of dolls to this day... ;)

lol, you didn't think I would pay $500 to have a doll made and then have tea parties did you?

Zam is quite the little actor. Excellent work!

I think I would become very attached to these dolls. Those eyes are fantastic! I think I see this one more as one of the rescued orphans .. perhaps because of the lighting and the clothing ..

They really are a cool new avenue for art. The first time I saw doll photography art I was hooked, but wanted to take a different road than most, they range from very small like 6 inches to like 3 feet, mine are 18 inches. That door you saw is actually a plant aquarium, carefully using only small sections gives the impression of a large glass sided building. It's movie magic, using small props to make a large scene. I've built several minature movie type sets.

The photo is great, but I much prefer him as Zam - one my all time favorite characters!

Awesome capture and work!

Oh yes ... I can see why the Temple Ravens are feared. You've done a great job of conveying a seriously dangerous threat. Nice work! I don't have a doll phobia, and don't find them scary or creepy, no matter how they're lit. I just suspend disbelief and enjoy the shot. And not being a movie buff of any stripe, what I see is the photographer's art. Light, setup, and postwork. You're brilliant at this!

Photography was my first art hobby, other than drawing, I built my first camera and learned to use a dark room when I was ten. It was a simple shoe box camera.
