My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

I can almost feel the sun and smell the desert smells. sigh....wonderful photo. :)

I love how the desert tricks your mind; you think those mountains are so close, but they're not anywhere close at all! Beautiful capture!

Excellent. I like very much the arid atmosphere of this photo.

You could have called this "Quintessential Desert Scene" - because it is. Some people find the desert barren & sterile, but I love the openness of it, the wide expanses & the unique plant & animal life. This photo captures it perfectly...

Beautifully composed and presented. As I view this scene my mind takes me back to 1962-63 when I was a 2nd Lt in a Tank Battalion stationed in the Mojave Desert in Southern California. At that time we could train anywhere we wanted in the vast deserts on government land. Little did I know of ecology at that time. Times have changed. These lands are no longer open to motorized vehicles...especially tanks...:-)

What a gorgeous view this and I do like these little palms, that I will never get to see in person :)

Such a scene as we never see here, unless global warming catches me up before I pop my clogs.

A gorgeous vista you've captured here, Tara! The depth here is amazing. I can just imagine flying the Phantom over this scene. Although I understand there are odd things seen in the air around this area from time to time...

Great landscape.

Fine work.

That is one big empty. A stunning landscape image. I can only imagine what wagon trains passing through the area must have endured.
