Description
The Desert Rose is one of my favorite plants.
It blooms in S. FL almost year round and is very hardy. Taken care of, they just keep growing and growing, but need very little maintenance or water. Give it some fish fertilizer, and it starts blooming. I have several of them scattered about my garden, but this capture is from a specimen handed down to me by a neighbor. In its pot, it weighs at least 100 pounds and is quite large. This is just just a single bloom, but I've seen it covered in dozens of them at times. DOF is a bit shallow in this capture, but I like the way it turned out and wanted to share.

Oh my, about as close to a daffodil in similarity as you can get. Lovely photo, and I like the color blending, but it sure doesn't look like it weighs any 100 pounds, Kort.

Lovely shot I had two but lost them in the winter I think it was to damp in the greenhouse.

Uber vibrance and good contrast, the bokeh works well also ! ~Cheers~

Ahhh...and I love these! Do yours have those odd above ground roots? Fascinating things. I'm on the Gulf coast, so they're here too, but they don't do quite as well as where you are. Maybe a photo of those crazy roots at some point? That would be a fun view.

I could post a shot of some of those roots at some point, yes. :) Thanks for the comment.
