Description

I've continued to work on the map of my world, Vahl. I initially intended to create a political map, but instead I just added labels. I am not all that great with coming up with names, so I cheated and just translated words that had some connection (sometimes loosely) to whatever I was labeling. If you can read German or Finnish, do not look closely at the names on this map, you will almost certainly be disappointed. (I think if you translated one name, it would come out as "Channel Channel" which is truly inspired, I know...) Anyways, hopefully it is worth a look, and I appreciate any comments you may leave...

Really excellent. You should add the ocean floor depths with shades of blue for effect.

Nice. btw - This kind of land shapes is usually an indication of a very recent (geologically speaking), major rise in sea level. There could be a residual memory in the lore of those living there. It has been theorized that the refilling of the Black Sea basin at the end of the last Ice Age gave rise to the Middle Eastern flood tales (Noah's flood, etc.).

That's a really cool map! The land forms are certainly inspired and I really like all those tiny islands. What an interesting place to live that would be.
